“You know, we just wanted to make real clothes,” designer Thuy Pham said, “like, the kind of thing people could wear to work or whatever.”

This season’s collection from United Bamboo could not have been more fitting for Lark. Although each piece created by Thuy and Miho is wearable for day to night there is nothing safe about the collection. The details, the craftsmanship, the use of pattern and materials are an explosion of wearable beauty.
The Back Open Pullover ($490) is an amazing piece of artistry. It’s made with cotton and linen woven into thin strips of fabric and then those strips fabric are woven and knotted into the final piece. Aside from the amazing fit the details are absolutely mind blowing.
The Silk Crepe Ribbon Pulled Dress ($549) is made completely of silk. The lining is a brushed silk and the drape is crepe silk. This is a very unusual attention to detail to find in today’s world where silk has become difficult to produce. There are two ways to drape the dress so you can tailor it to suit your mood.
The Linen Knit Back Gathered Pull Over ($458) is so beautiful we had to have it in two colours. Linen knits have amazing drape, longevity and beauty. It is a fiber that you can be confident will become more beautiful with age.
One of the reasons to invest in a piece from United Bamboo is that you can be confident that no corners have been cut and every detail has been considered. It is not a brand for the sake of superficial image, it is about making beautiful clothing that lasts both in style and quality.
